About Melissa

I was raised in a Christian church with a deep understanding of scripture and a strong ethic for serving in ministry. But throughout adulthood, I’ve had a growing awareness of the work of the Holy Spirit and a deep need for the soul nourishment that comes only from God. This thirst led me to spiritual direction—a place of gracious, spacious community. I am also an editor and writer—but I’m a reader first. I love cooking and swimming. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, with my husband, who is a minister to incarcerated people, and my son, who is adorable.
