Throughout my life, getting to know God and listening to others has been a part of who I am. I have a background in Life Coaching and cherish my time in Selah's Spiritual Direction Certificate Program. It's a joy for me to companion people on their personal journey with the Lord; watching with them and responding to His loving invitations! When I'm not providing spiritual direction I love exploring with God in nature, reading and writing, savoring quality ice cream, and spending time with my family and dearest friends.

I’m a writer, spiritual director, and children’s ministry leader who creates quiet, playful spaces where people can meet with God. I believe children and adults long for the same things: wonder, stillness, beauty, and a God who meets us right where we are. I serve as Director of Children’s Ministries at Church of the Apostles in Connecticut and as a trained spiritual director for adults seeking rest and renewal.

I believe God desires us to see His hand and work and presence in common, every day life. The past few years have been traumatic for me in several ways, including being diagnosed with breast cancer in Fall 2025. Seeking God even there has been a challenge. My personal ministry is writing, hosting, and listening to others as they seek to see and hear God, even in the midst of their own difficulties, fears, grief and struggles.

I’m one who has been “seized by the power of a great affection.” (Brennan Manning). Jesus rescued me and calls me His Beloved. I’ve been married to my favorite human for 31 years. I’m a Baby Bird Launcher (aka Empty Nester)of two young-adult daughters. I'm a 2023 Selah graduate. I cherish meeting with others in the prayerful space of Spiritual Direction to be attentive to the voice and work of the Lord and being able to honor the holy ground of their lives. And I am a champion for contemplative spiritual practices as ways to know the Lord more intimately.

Ashley considers her introduction into contemplative spirituality through direction as something like a second conversion. Through the practice of direction, she became aware of how intimately Jesus desires to be near through his Holy Spirit and that awareness made an indelible mark on her life, faith, and practice. Ashley desires to offer the same kind of companionship so others, especially people of color, can learn to discern the small and steady movements of God. Ashley received her certification in Spiritual Direction from LTI’s Selah program and has worked in local church and parachurch settings for the last decade.
