I live in Birmingham, Al. with my husband of 46 years. We have adult sons, a daughter-in-law and granddaughters.As a nurse, I was honored to walk alongside those seeking physical healing. In my personal ministry, I have been privileged to sit with others in their wonderings, joys and pains as we sought to invite the Trinity into those spaces. As a graduate of LTI's Selah Spiritual Direction program, I long to provide a safe and quiet space where the weary and busy can experience deep soul rest flowing from deeper intimacy with Him as His beloved.

I was raised in a Christian church with a deep understanding of scripture and a strong ethic for serving in ministry. But throughout adulthood, I’ve had a growing awareness of the work of the Holy Spirit and a deep need for the soul nourishment that comes only from God. This thirst led me to spiritual direction—a place of gracious, spacious community. I am also an editor and writer—but I’m a reader first. I love cooking and swimming. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, with my husband, who is a minister to incarcerated people, and my son, who is adorable.

Having participated in lay ministry throughout most of my adult years, I am grateful to have discovered the ministry of spiritual direction. It has felt like stepping into a role that was nurtured through the transformational healing prayer practices of listening to the Holy Spirit. This longing to live with, look for and partner with Holy Spirit is a way of being that keeps me humble and leaning on Him.Also, having a professional background in health care and counseling has given me ample opportunity for listening skills. I value the blend of these two: listening and Holy Spirit awareness.
