Through the practice of direction, she became aware of how intimately Jesus desires to be near through his Holy Spirit and that awareness made an indelible mark on her life, faith, and practice. Ashley desires to offer the same kind of companionship so others, especially people of color, can learn to discern the small and steady movements of God. Ashley received her certification in Spiritual Direction from LTI’s Selah program and has worked in local church and parachurch settings for the last decade.

I first encountered contemplative practices over 20 years ago. God’s Presence and guidance have provided a firm foundation to my roles in the corporate world, in ministry, and as a wife. Since 2000 I have been in vocational ministry, living and serving internationally in a variety of roles. Now based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, I offer spiritual direction to cross-cultural workers and the local and worldwide Christian community.

Brenda’s passion is to facilitate spiritual formation in others as a companion on their journey. She has her Doctor of Ministry degree from Phoenix Seminary where she also completed her Masters of Divinity in Spiritual Formation. Brenda is a trained Spiritual Director (Selah). Brenda’s life purpose is to anchor the wounded with God’s love (Hebrews 6:19). Brenda is a Spiritual Director with the family room, llc., a Center for Psychotherapy, Member Care, and Spiritual Direction. Brenda is a member of the Christ-centered Spiritual Direction Association.
